Lady Gaga has been teasing new music for some time now…but when any of it will arrive is unclear. Later this year, her new movie Joker: Folie à Deux will hit theaters, and it may come accompanied with a soundtrack featuring her singing as well. Ahead of what may be a very busy second half of the year, one of the superstar’s most popular albums is back on the Billboard charts in America, helping her prove that she really is one of the biggest to ever do it—at least in one or two genres.
The Fame Monster returns to the Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart this week. The set reappears at No. 11 on the ranking of the most-consumed dance and electronic full-lengths and EPs in the country.
Gaga’s EP has previously ruled the Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart, and it nearly cracked the top 10 once again this frame. The shorter set has now spent 84 weeks somewhere on the tally.
The Fame Monster is one of three titles from Gaga that are present on the Top Dance/Electronic Albums tally this frame. She always claims at least one or two spots, but now the Grammy and Oscar winner controls more than 10% of the entire ranking thanks to this comeback.
The Fame—which directly preceded The Fame Monster—is living inside the top 10 on the roster at No. 4. Last week, it was still at No. 1, but now it’s been pushed down a few rungs. Born This Way, Gaga’s sophomore full-length, dips from No. 10 to No. 15 this time around.
As three of her albums chart, one of Gaga’s oldest and most memorable hits is also still going strong. “Poker Face” is even gaining ground this frame. The smash lifts from No. 18 to No. 15 on the Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs chart. Surprisingly, it has never ruled this ranking, as one might assume. Instead, it’s climbed as high as No. 6.
Gaga released The Fame Monster EP in November 2009. In some territories, it was marketed as a standalone project, while in others, it was essentially a deluxe edition of her debut album The Fame. The Fame Monster was a huge commercial success, thanks to singles like “Bad Romance,” “Alejandro,” and “Telephone” with Beyoncé.
