Swift is setting her focus fully on the tour
Despite widespread anticipation of Taylor Swift’s presence at Sunday’s Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix alongside his beloved boyfriend Travis Kelce and their great friends Patrick and Brittany Mahomes, the pop icon did not make an appearance in South Florida.
The group, which had been photographed enjoying themselves in the paddock on Saturday, was reportedly planning to have a double date in Miami. It seems Swift only attends events where she supports him, such as Chiefs games, or his friends, like the Mahomes Foundation, or hers, like the Coachella festival.
The first Formula 1 race in the USA was a resounding success, attracting a host of stars and celebrities including Tom Brady, Michael Jordan, Ryan Reynolds, Rory McIlroy, and Zinedine Zidane. Despite the star-studded crowd, the focus shifted to the race itself, which saw McLaren’s Lando Norris clinch his first-ever Formula One victory, with Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc rounding out the podium.
While the race typically takes a backseat at such events, all eyes were on Max Verstappen, the three-time champion, with many expecting him to dominate. However, fans were in for a surprise as Norris emerged victorious, showcasing his talent and potential in the sport.
On Saturday, Travis Kelce was spotted at the event, perhaps missing Taylor Swift’s company, as he mingled with the Mahomes and enjoyed the festivities. This marks the second major event where Kelce has been seen without Swift, following last week’s appearance at Churchill Downs for the Kentucky Derby. It’s not that Swift is unwilling to attend such events; rather, she is preparing to resume her Eras Tour in Paris on May 9. The demanding schedule of a concert tour is akin to Kelce’s offseason, and both Swift and Kelce understand the importance of fulfilling their commitments, no matter how demanding they may be.
Swift’s schedule will see her perform 16 shows in a 30-day period starting May 9, maintaining a rigorous pace until her August 20th show at Wembley Stadium in London. Her dedication to her craft and relentless work ethic are mirrored in Kelce’s commitment to his team, making them a power couple who value their careers and obligations.
