BERTHOLD, N.D. (KMOT) – There was no Bad Blood at this year’s Berthold prom.
Freshman Shaun Randall became the talk of the dance when he brought Taylor Swift as his date — well, a cardboard cutout of Swift.
Shaun is known All Too Well as a Swiftie in his family, according to his mom Laurie Buckley, and his sister bought him the cutout of the pop icon as a joke.
But, the Berthold Bomber had a Blank Space when it came to a date for the dance.
Shaun decided to show up to prom in Style, bringing the pop star’s likeness to the big dance this past weekend.
In perhaps a moment of Karma, Berthold Police Chief Al Schmidt administered a breathalyzer to Taylor.
“I knew she was trouble when she walked in,” said Schmidt.
Swift was apparently Fearless, though, and passed the test with flying colors.
Early reports indicate the students had an Enchanted evening. Buckley says Shaun wasn’t named to prom court, but she told him to Shake It Off.
Even though prom is over, rest assured Shaun won’t have a Cruel Summer, as his mom says he has plenty in store with FFA and Boy Scouts.
