Fox incorrectly says Taylor Swift, Josh Berry, Josef Newgarden attended Hendersonville – Tennessean

The FOX broadcast crew incorrectly stated Taylor Swift, Josh Berry and Josef Newgarden attended the same high school during Sunday’s NASCAR Cup race at Bristol. The crew is Mike Joy, Kevin Harvick and Clint Bowyer.
Swift and Berry did attend Hendersonville High while Newgarden, an IndyCar driver, attended JP II. Both schools are located in Sumner County. They are 4.7 miles apart in Hendersonville.
All three were in school at around the same time. Berry and Newgarden are 33 and Swift is 34.
Berry and Newgarden were classmates in middle school.
Berry has told The Tennessean he remembers Swift’s days at Hendersonville High, but did not know her personally.
This is Berry’s first season as a NASCAR Cup Series driver. Newgarden won the Indy 500 in 2023. Berry qualified No. 2 for the race.
