“I was amazed by the lighting on the street, it’s just so thought out,” Kelce reflected on his visit to the city state during his appearance on the recent episode of the “New Height” podcast.
“The street lights, the building lights, the bus stop, the lighting that they have there are very nice, like you just don’t think about [them because] we don’t have that in America.”
Kelce added that as someone who has a fondness for horticulture, he visited the Flower Dome, the largest greenhouse in the world, while in Singapore. He also took in the sight of Marina Bay Sands, which he likened to “a boat on the top of three pillars,” remarking on its coolness and how it matched the images of Singapore he had seen prior to his visit.
“Everything there is high-tech and you can tell that it’s very well-planned out from an architectural standpoint,” the athlete summarized.
Kelce reportedly landed in Singapore on March 7 to meet up with Swift and attend two of her six sold-out performances in the city-state as part of her “The Eras Tour.” The duo was seen enjoying a meal at a Japanese eatery within the Marina Bay Sands resort complex the next evening.
Following the conclusion of Swift’s Singapore tour dates on March 9, the pair made their way back to the U.S. According to E! News, they were present at an Oscar after-party on March 10 in Los Angeles, an event that attracted celebrities such as actors Cillian Murphy, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Jennifer Lawrence.
The athlete was also spotted driving to Swift’s Beverly Hills private residence earlier this week.
Kelce, 35, has distinguished himself as a prominent figure for the Kansas City Chiefs, setting several NFL records along the way.
Before his relationship with Swift, he had a five-year romance with model Kayla Nicole, which ended in May 2022.
Swift, also 35, initially rose to fame in her career with her country music but later transitioned to pop. Her discography includes 14 albums, with four re-recorded editions known as Taylor’s Version.
Her net worth is estimated by Forbes to be US$1.1 billion, significantly aided by the success of “The Eras Tour” in 2023.
Time magazine honored her with the title of “Person of the Year” for 2023.
She made Grammy history earlier this year by winning her fourth Album of the Year award for “Midnights,” achieving a record for the most wins in this category.
