Disney+ has dropped the full trailer for Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) movie ahead of its release next week. The film, now titled Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version), will feature five new songs, including Cardigan.
Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) will make its streaming debut on Disney+ on Friday, March 15. The brand new complete trailer has left many in awe and is helping give fans who were unable to secure an Eras Tour ticket to chance to experience her show.
Taking to Instagram, Disney+ shared the full trailer – which lasts one minute and 15 second – alongside the caption: "Are You Ready For It? Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version), in its entirety for the first time with the song “cardigan” and four additional acoustic songs, arrives March 15 only on Disney+."
It was also announced that the movie would be available earlier for American fans, on March 14 at 6pm PT/9pm ET. The film will be available on Disney+ in the UK from March 15.
The Eras Tour amassed more than 262 million dollars (£207 million) worldwide in cinemas after opening in October, setting a record for concert films. Swift partnered with AMC Theatres for the release in a first-of-its-kind deal that cut out Hollywood studios and instead sent the film directly into cinemas.
It was announced that Disney+ would stream the movie last month. At the time, Bob Iger, Disney chief executive, said: “The Eras Tour has been a true phenomenon that has and continues to thrill fans around the world, and we are very excited to bring this electrifying concert to audiences wherever they are, exclusively on Disney+."
The Eras Tour movie will be arriving on Disney+ about a month before Swift’s recently announced new album, The Tortured Poets Department, drops on April 19. The streaming platform is currently offering fans the chance to stream the biggest and best new films and shows – including the Eras Tour – for £1.99 a month for three months. You will have to snap up the offer before it ends on Thursday, March 14.
