Director Todd Phillips has given fans an exciting glimpse into the highly anticipated musical sequel ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ by sharing new images of stars Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix. Another photo presents Lady Gaga, who is will be portraying a new take on Dr. Harleen “Harley Quinn” Quinzel, a character distinct from Margot Robbie’s portrayal in previous DC films.

Marking the five-year anniversary of the original ‘Joker’ film, ‘Folie à Deux’ is set to premiere on October 4, 2024. This release date is not just a nod to the franchise’s history but also a testament to its continued impact on audiences. The original ‘Joker’ movie, released in 2019, set box office records and sparked widespread acclaim, leading to the confirmation of this sequel in June 2022.
‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ is expected to explore new depths of the Joker character, played by Phoenix, who in the first film was portrayed as a struggling clown and comedian whose descent into violence ignites chaos in Gotham City.
