Since his years-long relationship with Lady Gaga came to an end in 2016, Chicago Fire star Taylor Kinney has been pretty tight-lipped about his dating life. But all that changed in March 2022, when he made his relationship with his new girlfriend Instagram official. After the actor posted a picture of his boo, fans were dying to know the identity of the nameless woman. So, who is Taylor Kinney dating now?
A month after posting a picture of her on social media, Taylor showed up at a Utah-based charity event with his new girlfriend, Ashley Cruger, on his arm. And if there was any question as to whether the two are serious, their very public displays of affection on camera confirm that things are pretty hot and heavy between the two.
It’s unclear how long Taylor and Ashley have been dating, though fans speculate they go back to sometime in the fall of 2021. Much like her boyfriend, Ashley keeps her personal life out of the limelight, but we can confirm that she works as a model. Ashley’s currently signed to the BMG modeling agency, where her portfolio is listed under women’s lifestyle models in Chicago. It’s likely that she lives primarily in the Windy City, where Taylor also films Chicago Fire.
Until now, the Chicago Fire actor hasn’t been romantically linked to anyone since 2019, when he was spotted kissing an unidentified woman at the Columbia Kettleworks Taproom in Pennsylvania. A source previously told the Daily Mail, “Taylor grew up around here in Lancaster, so we see him from time to time.”
“I know a few people he knows but I have no idea who the woman is,” they added. “He just started making out with her. She looked like she was having fun.”
While Taylor may have kept that encounter on the down low, he certainly isn’t a stranger to having his love life be out in the open. After all, one of his first public relationships was with one of the most famous people on the planet.

Rumors began to circulate about Taylor and Lady Gaga in 2011, and they eventually went public with their relationship. Yet even after that, they still declined to walk the red carpet together for several years.
After dating for more than three years, they got engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2015. Just a year later, though, the couple called it quits. Gaga has since moved on to other relationships, but she still has plenty of lingering affection for her former fiancé.
“Gaga and Taylor Kinney are still very close, but they are only friends,” an insider told Us Weekly in August of 2017. “Gaga and Taylor talk or text every single day and meet up when they’re in the same city, but nothing romantic is happening between them.”
Gaga also discussed their split with Howard Stern in a 2016 interview. “It’s just about life changes, and we all go through different stages, and we’re focused on different things,” she said at the time. “To be fair, I think that Taylor’s pretty f–king cool that over the years, no matter what creative transformation that I’ve gone through, he’s always been very supportive of that and loving.”
