Lady Gaga is joining the roster of skins in Fortnite – here’s how to get her cosmetic items.
Over the years, Epic Games has had the opportunity to join forces with dozens of brands, franchises, and artists, thanks to Fortnite's increasing popularity. Epic is not new to welcoming music artists to its platform; Ariana Grande and Marshmello have been available as Fortnite skins for years now, and other great artists' songs were already in the game as emotes as part of the Icon Series.
When the Fortnite Festival game mode launched, it made it possible for Fortnite to include artists in the game on a completely different level. Lady Gaga will be the next artist on the Fortnite Festival main stage, and this guide will tell players how they'll be able to get her skin.
Fortnite Festival's Opening Night Pass will be coming to an end on February 22, 2024. On this same day, update v28.30 will go live, the Fortnite Festival season will be renewed, and Lady Gaga will become available. Previously, this was mere speculation, but the artist tweeted a picture of her skin, with "Fortnite Festival 2/22/24" written on the bottom right-hand corner.
Downtime tends to start at 4 AM ET. It usually takes a couple of hours for the update to go live and for the server to get back online. However, for major updates, it may take a while longer, and players might even have to deal with a login queue. If the Fortnite Festival is renewed once servers are up, players can expect the Lady Gaga skin to become available in Fortnite on Thursday, February 22, between 6 AM and 8 AM.
Once Fortnite Festival Season 1 ends, The Weeknd will leave the main stage and make way for Lady Gaga. If the Fortnite Festival pass works just like it did in Season 1, players will be able to unlock Lady Gaga in Fortnite by completing the Premium Reward Track of the Fortnite Festival pass.
It should cost 1,800 V-Bucks, and it is not included in the Fortnite Crew Pack. On top of this, gamers will have to complete Fortnite Festival quests in order to earn Festival Points and unlock the pass rewards. The final reward, which will most likely be the Lady Gaga skin, will require fans to collect a total of 11,000 Festival Points. Fortnite Festival rewards are not exclusive, so gamers that don't intend to play this game mode or purchase the pass will be able to get the Lady Gaga skin in the Item Shop at a later date.
