KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A GoFundMe has been created for the Lisa Lopez-Galvan family, and a famous name has donated a large amount.
The totals skyrocketed overnight thanks to a $100,000 donation from “Taylor Swift.”
People Magazine reported that the donation indeed came from the pop star, who is on tour in Europe.
Two $50,000 donations were donated back-to-back at 3:30 a.m. Friday central time.
Along with the donation Swift included a note to the family: “Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences in the wake of your devastating loss. With love, Taylor Swift”.
Lopez-Galvan was gunned down following the championship rally Wednesday outside Union Station.
Kansas City Police reported Thursday a total of 23 victims were wounded in the shooting, one of whom died from their injuries- that being Lopez Galvan.
Police believe the shooting was the result of an argument between two groups.
Two juveniles are in custody for the shooting and charges are said to be moving forward.
