A full-time Taylor Swift reporter from the United States has revealed where her Australians fans need to look to find out whether her NFL champion boyfriend will be joining her Down Under.
A US-based journalist who exclusively reports on Taylor Swift has pointed to her NFL champion boyfriend’s podcast as a clear sign that the pair will explore Australia together in the coming weeks.
Bryan West is a journalist and dedicated Taylor Swift reporter for USA Today, with his job being to travel the world and report on the popstar.
On Friday, West told Sky News Australia that he suspects if Kelce were to make his way Down Under and join Swift on her much-anticipated tour, he would allude to it on his podcast New Heights.
“He’ll allude to it on the podcast that he does with brother, New Heights – he said that he was going to go south of the border before he went to Argentina,” he said.
In the latest episode of his New Heights podcast, Kelce informed his brother Jason that he would soon be journeying “south” to an “island”.
“I am about to go f***in’ venture myself over to an island here soon,” he said.
“I don’t know… I think the best ones are south right now so I’m going to go south.”
If he doesn’t show face in Melbourne or Sydney this week, West predicts fans will get a glimpse of the sports icon when Swift kicks off her Europe leg later in the year.
“Reports are speculating that he would head to Europe – the first show would be Paris,” West said.
“We’re going to definitely be on Travis Kelce watch out here.”
Swift last visited Australia in 2018 for her Reputation Stadium Tour, sharing several photos to social media of her time Down Under.
Fans speculated where she was spending her time, with some believing it was the Dandenong Ranges.
West confirmed she is likely to remain in Australia between her Melbourne and Sydney shows, noting that she has done so in the past at other shows with similar timelines.
“So the closest relation that we can draw this too would be Brazil where she was in Rio and then over the Thanksgiving break she went to São Paulo,” he said.
“She did stay in Brazil and that was about a week apart.
“It is possible she might leave and head back to America, no official word on if she will stay in Australia but it does make sense with it only being an hour-and-a-half away.”
