Lady Gaga, a music powerhouse, started her career at the age of 4. She even impressed audiences at the Lollapalooza Festival in 2007. Her debut album, ‘The Fame,’ in 2008, featuring hits like ‘Just Dance,’ skyrocketed her to fame, with two GRAMMYs in 2010. Despite financial hurdles during ‘The Monster Ball Tour,’ Gaga persevered, showcasing her resilience. But even the “Little Mermaid” had her share of doubters, including her ex-boyfriend!

However, years after the incident, Lady Gaga couldn’t help but recall the things said in the past. As her decade-old recollection resurfaced, the Australian professional boxer, Skye Nicolson, couldn’t help but share her reaction on her Instagram story.
In the recent turn of events, an old quote from Lady Gaga made its way to social media once again. The post shared a picture of the music prodigy holding two Grammy awards. It also shared an old statement from her claiming, “I had a boyfriend who told me I’d never succeed, never be nominated for a Grammy, never have a hit song, and that he hoped I’d fail.” 
Furthermore, it added, “I said to him, ‘Someday, when we’re not together, you won’t be able to order a cup of coffee at the fucking deli without hearing or seeing me.’” This quote originates from her interview with Cosmopolitan magazine, back in 2010. Back then, she had already won five Grammy Awards at the time of the interview. Thus, she had more than proven her ex wrong and motivated others with her accomplishments as well.
Nicolson shared the post on her Instagram story as she responded to the words Gaga had stated. She wrote in straightforward terms, “Supportive partner or no partner,” sharing her motto of being in a healthy relationship or not being in a relationship at all.

Nicolson’s message is unequivocal: it emphasizes the importance of choosing solitude over a partner who constantly doubts one’s abilities. However, she is currently in the best place in life. Nicolson sets her sights on making a comeback to the ring in April, after her last successful bout in November of last year.
Skye Nicolson, the featherweight contender from Australia, is on the brink of realizing her dream title shot in her homeland this year. Unbeaten in nine fights since turning professional in March 2022, Nicolson had a stellar 2023 with victories in New York, Cardiff, Tijuana, and Dublin.
She kicked off the year by defeating Spain’s Tania Alvarez and later decision Linda Laura Lecca in Cardiff. Nicolson then showcased her skills in Mexico against Maribel Perez and capped off the year with a stoppage win over Sweden’s Lucy Wildheart in Ireland. Now, at 28, Nicolson looks ahead to a potential title fight in Australia, expressing her confidence and eagerness to bring the belt home.

Speaking at a media day in Brisbane, Nicolson shared her excitement about the prospect of the fight happening in Brisbane, emphasizing her belief that Sarah Mahfoud won’t win three rounds against her. Confident in her abilities, Nicolson stated, “The better the opponent, the better the Skye Nicolson you’ll see on the night. I feel very confident; I know she’s a good boxer, but that works in my favor. I like fighting good boxers.”
