Taylor Swift’s Eras tour movie will be streaming soon — exclusively on Disney+! Disney revealed the news as part of its first quarter earnings call, with the concert set to stream this March.
If you’re a Taylor Swift fan, today’s first-quarter earnings call for the Walt Disney Company was an exciting one! In the past, Disney+ has been the exclusive home to select Taylor Swift content, including 2020’s Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions. And now, Disney+ will be home to her most exciting venture yet — the Eras Tour.
Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) will stream exclusively on Disney+ beginning on March 15. The concert film will be shown in its entirety for the first time, including the song “cardigan,” as well as four additional acoustic songs.
The film of Taylor Swift’s ongoing Eras Tour was a smash hit when it was released in theaters in December 2023 and was released for rental on digital platforms beginning in January 2024. The Disney+ debut will mark the first time that the concert is available outside of theaters or rentals, as well as the first time it will be shown in its entirety. Currently, the live tour is still ongoing, with dates planned through late 2024.
When making the announcement, Disney CEO Bob Iger said, “’The Eras Tour’ has been a true phenomenon that has and continues to thrill fans around the world, and we are very excited to bring this electrifying concert to audiences wherever they are, exclusively on Disney+.”
Directed by Sam Wrench, the movie grossed more than $260 million at the worldwide at the global box office, making it the top-selling concert film of all time. Fans can watch the concert again and again when it lands on Disney+ on March 15, 2024.
