Missing the magic of The Eras Tour? Well, Taylor Swift just keeps blessing us with gifts. Two months after The Eras Tour concert film hit theaters, the movie was able to view on demand from the comfort of her fans’ homes for a 48 hour rental period, and now it will be available to stream long term with Disney Plus.
Taylor announced the news about the streaming home for the film in a post she shared to her social media. “This week is truly the best kind of chaos. I’m thrilled to let you know I’ve found a streaming home for The Eras Tour Concert Film, and that home will be @disneyplus,” she wrote in the caption for photos promoting the film.
As we anxiously await to stream The Eras Tour movie, Hollywood Life has rounded up everything you need to know. From when the movie is being released to what will be included.

Fans will be able to celebrate their own home-viewing parties of The Eras Tour movie starting on March 15, 2024. In her announcement, the singer teased that the movie would be available “very soon” when she revealed the date. “Available starting March 15 which is actually very 🔜😆,” she wrote.
Fans who have followed Taylor’s tour closely noticed that some songs did not make the final cut in The Eras Tour concert film. While the popstar has been shaking up the setlist each show with two surprise songs, fans noticed that the songs “The Archer”, “Wildest Dreams”, and “Long Live” were cut from the movie, despite being performed at the concerts that were filmed. Those songs were then included in the rental version, but “Cardigan” was still a song that was missing.
In her recent announcement about the Disney Plus version, Taylor revealed “Cardigan” will be included as well as other acoustic surprises. “For the first time we’ll be showing the entire concert (including ‘cardigan’, plus 4 additional songs from the acoustic section!!) and I’m calling it, huge shock, ‘Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version),’” she wrote.
Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour concert film, directed by Sam Wrench, was officially released in North American theaters, including Canada and Mexico, on October 13, 2023. Yes, that was Friday the 13th. Lucky number 13 for Taylor. The singer just couldn’t resist dropping the movie on the 13th!
October was a huge month for Swifties. Ahead of her announcing the Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour concert film, Taylor revealed that she would finally be releasing 1989 (Taylor’s Version). The highly-anticipated re-record dropped on October 27, 2023, just two weeks after The Eras Tour concert film hits theaters.
“To be perfectly honest, this is my most FAVORITE re-record I’ve ever done because the 5 From The Vault tracks are so insane. I can’t believe they were ever left behind. But not for long,” Taylor wrote in a message to fans. On top of everything, she’s also been hinting that reputation (Taylor’s Version) is on the horizon as well. During the Grammys on February 4, 2024, Taylor announced her brand new album, The Tortured Poets Department, will be released on April 19, 2024.
In order to stream the movie on demand, you will have to be a Disney Plus member and pay either annually or monthly. You can sign up on their website here and choose the plan that suits you best. If you’re already a member and you pay every month or year, there’s nothing further you have to do. The Eras Tour Concert Film will show up in the available streams starting on March 15, 2024. There currently appears to be no free trials available on Disney Plus.
Fans had been speculating for weeks about a concert movie after spotting cameras filming Taylor’s Eras Tour concerts during the first three nights of her celeb-filled 6-concert run at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. Many Swifties believed an Eras Tour film would be hitting a streaming service sometime in the near future.
This isn’t Taylor’s first rodeo with a concert film. She dropped The 1989 World Tour – Live exclusively on Apple Music in 2015. Taylor notably released a Reputation concert film on Netflix in 2018 followed by the documentary Miss Americana in 2020. The Grammy winner also released Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions on Disney Plus in 2020.
