The Las Vegas Strip is filled with several long-term entertainer residencies that have lasted for years. The popularity of these shows prompts hotel casino owners, such as Caesars Entertainment  (CZR) – Get Free Report and MGM Resorts International  (MGM) – Get Free Report, to extend residencies many months into the future.
Legendary Osmond Brothers singer Donny Osmond’s long-running residency at Caesars Entertainment’s Harrah’s Showroom was set to end Nov. 11, before he embarks on a U.K. tour from Nov. 28 through Dec. 14. The “Puppy Love” singer won’t disappoint his Vegas fans, however, as he in August signed on for 55 more shows in an extended residency beginning Jan. 23 and ending May 11, 2024 at Harrah’s Showroom. Osmond began his Harrah’s residency in August 2021.
Mr. Las Vegas Wayne Newton, who began headlining at the Flamingo in Vegas in 1963 with his hit song “Danke Schoen,” in August extended his “Wayne: Up Close and Personal” residency at Bugsy’s Cabaret Showroom at the Flamingo Las Vegas for 62 dates until June 2024.
Popular 1970s superstar singer Barry Manilow, who began his long-running residency off the Strip at the Westgate Las Vegas in February 2005,  continues to perform sellouts in the International Theater where Elvis Presley opened the hotel casino in 1969 back when it was the International Hotel, before becoming the Las Vegas Hilton, then Westgate.
Manilow broke Elvis Presley’s record of 636 sold out shows at the venue on the weekend of Sept. 23. Before breaking the record, the “Copacabana” singer signed on to extend his residency at the Westgate by adding 45 new dates to his residency beginning Feb. 15, 2024, and concluding Dec. 14, 2024.
Superstar singer Lady Gaga had an extremely successful Las Vegas Strip residency with her “Enigma + Jazz & Piano” show, which included her biggest hits and songs from the Great American Songbook, that ran from Dec. 28, 2018, through May 1, 2022, at Dolby Live’s predecessor the Park Theater at the Park MGM. The “Enigma + Jazz & Piano” residency reportedly had a big payoff as it earned $78 million at the box office, with Lady Gaga getting a guarantee of $1 million per show for the 74 initial shows of her residency.
The “Paparazzi” singer returned to the Strip for a variation of her previous engagement when she staged her “Jazz + Piano” 12-show residency at MGM Resorts International’s  (MGM) – Get Free Report Dolby Live at the Park MGM which began Aug. 31 and concluded on Oct. 5. “The Jazz + Piano” show featured songs from the Great American Songbook as well as stripped down versions of her own hits performed in jazz style.

Lady Gaga enjoys her Las Vegas Strip residencies so much that she told the audience at her Sept. 7 performance that she wanted her Dolby Live residency to last “forever.”
“We’re gonna make a contract. Everybody on this stage will be here forever, we’ll do it. I’m not kidding. I make a lot of jokes on this stage. This is not one of them,” Lady Gaga said.
The “Poker Face” singer has not said whether she will bring back her “Enigma” show or something similar to her “Chromatica Ball” tour that featured her pop hits, but Lady Gaga’s “Jazz + Piano” residency will return in spring 2024, a reliable source told the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Exact dates have not been revealed yet, but interested fans should keep an eye on the Dolby Live at Park MGM website or Ticketmaster for details when they are released.
