Taylor Swift’s epic dash from Tokyo show to Super Bowl: Is it possible? – FOX 8 Local First

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – In the next chapter of their prolific “Love Story”, international pop sensation and the NFL’s favorite fan Taylor Swift will need to travel around the world – and back in time – to see her boo Travis Kelce play in the Super Bowl.
Swift will wrap up the four-day Tokyo leg of her Eras Tour on Saturday, Feb. 10, the day before the Super Bowl kicks off in Las Vegas. Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs kick off against the San Francisco 49ers in the marquee matchup at 4:30 p.m. Pacific Time on Sunday, Feb. 11.
Her journey across the Pacific Ocean to support her boyfriend will require meticulous planning.
Swift knows long-distance travel “All Too Well.” She has circled the globe on her record-breaking Eras Tour since last March. Equipped with two private jets, Swift has the means to expedite her travel by skipping security and lines at the airport.
The 17-hour time difference between Tokyo and Las Vegas could work in Swift’s favor, allowing her to arrive with ample time before kickoff.
Here’s how she could time travel to make it work.
Swift’s fourth of four concerts starts in the Tokyo Dome at 6 p.m. local time and typically lasts between three and four hours. With no opening acts announced for her Tokyo tour dates, the show could conceivably conclude around 9:30 p.m. local time – or 4:30 a.m. PT on Feb. 11.
With a 25-minute drive in her “Getaway Car” and swift departure from Haneda Airport – taking into account concert traffic and flight check-in – she could be wheels up to Vegas an hour later.
The trip from Tokyo to Las Vegas’ Harry Reid International Airport, located near Allegiant Stadium, is 4,821 nautical miles. According to Travel Math, the flight lasts around 12 hours but could be closer to 10 or 10 1/2 in her Dassault Falcon 7X jet.
Crossing the International Date Line, Swift could leave Tokyo at 10:30 p.m. Saturday local time and arrive in “Style” around 4 p.m. PT on the same date in Las Vegas – more than six hours before she departed Tokyo and a full 24 hours before kickoff.
This would result in a roughly 34-hour Saturday for the pop star – if she stays up until midnight, which will feel like her afternoon.
A spokesperson for both a charter flight company and Harry Reid International told The Athletic that there might not be any available slots to land in Vegas during Super Bowl weekend. Airlines are preparing for a surge in demand. American Airlines even coded their flights for America’s hottest new couple.
Seven flights will take fans directly from Kansas City to Las Vegas on Feb. 8-13. Three of those are No. 15, the jersey number of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Two are No. 1989, the name of Swift’s chart-topping album. One is No. 87, Kelce’s jersey number, and another is 1521, a combination of Mahomes and safety Mike Edwards’ numbers.

If that’s the case and there isn’t a “Blank Space” for her private jet to land, Swift could save 45 minutes of airtime, fly into Los Angeles, and then drive the final four or five hours to Allegiant Stadium to see her “Lover,” arriving by 8:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Swift has plenty of time to “Breathe,” enjoy the big game and spend time with her man before the next leg of her tour.
A few days after the Super Bowl, she’ll be flying down under for the Australian segment of her world tour, beginning in Melbourne on Feb. 16 and wrapping up in Sydney on Feb. 26.
The question remains, is she “…Ready For It?”
