Taylor Swift Eras Tour movie: when it drops and how to stream – SFGATE

Relive Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour from the comfort of your own home next month.
Taylor Swift is celebrating her 34th birthday next month — and this year, she’s giving fans a reason to party. The global icon announced via social media on Monday that her record-breaking concert film, “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour,” will be available to watch online starting Dec. 13 — on her birthday. There are plenty of ways to tune in.
Fans can catch the coveted movie on-demand next month via Amazon Prime Video, Apple TVVudo, Xfinity, Google Play and YouTube in the U.S. and Canada, according to Swift’s website. Can’t wait until Dec. 13? “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” is still playing across theaters, and it’s not too late to snag tickets for a showtime
“Hi! Well, so, basically I have a birthday coming up and I was thinking a fun way to celebrate the year we’ve had together would be to make The Eras Tour Concert Film available for you to watch at home!” Swift shared on Twitter
Documenting her 2023 Eras Tour performances at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium in a nearly three-hour motion picture, the film boasted the biggest concert film opening weekend of all time when it arrived at theaters Oct. 13. Raking in an estimated $95 million from North American theaters (and $126 million globally) upon its debut, “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” smashed the record previously held by Justin Beiber’s “Never Say Never” which earned $41 million from North American theaters during its opening weekend in 2011.
The buzzy film is now headed to the small screen, with a few added perks: As an extended version of the theatrical flick, fans can look forward to reliving performances of  “Wildest Dreams,” “The Archer,” and “Long Live” — three songs that were originally omitted from the production, much to the chagrin of Swifties.
Grab your merch, make some popcorn and gear up for the year’s most talked-about concert — in the comfort of your own home.
