Bradley Cooper’s Maestro has been in theatres a couple of weeks now and will start streaming on Netflix on December 20. It is also a contender this award season in multiple categories – Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor and Actress. So, as we have seen, Coop has been campaigning. And the campaign continued last night at the LA premiere which took place, conveniently, at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures aka the Oscar Museum.
Bradley and Carey Mulligan were joined by Ted Sarandos, the head of Netflix, and also a couple of special guests. Coop’s daughter, Lea de Seine, made her red carpet debut. Lea actually has a small role in the film, so technically she’s a member of the cast, the most adorable member of the cast – she is SO cute in her little dress and hilarious handbag and her face is exactly the combination of her parents, you can see both Bradley and Irina Shayk.
Lea then was the littlest VIP. The biggest VIP? Not a cast member in Coop’s current film but a cast member in his previous film. Lady Gaga came out to support him. My favourite detail? Gaga was the last to arrive. There’s actually video at one of the photo agencies of Bradley and Carey standing around, after doing all their own posing, as Lea sits on the floor colouring or playing or some kind of kid activity, while they’re all waiting on Gaga to make her entrance and I am SCREAMING. With delight, to be clear. Only delight.
Here’s Lea meeting Gaga like she’s the queen.
I love this so much. That Gaga was treated like the honoured guest at Bradley Cooper’s film premiere. That this is how much they valued her presence, so grateful that she would bless Maestro with her support. As they should be!
