Taylor Swift has demonstrated countless times throughout her career that she can sell an album on vinyl like almost nobody else in the music industry. She proves her power when it comes to the format once again this week, as she completely dominates Billboard’s ranking that focuses on just wax records.
This week, Swift owns the highest six spots on Billboard’s Vinyl Albums chart. The tally only looks at sales of individual titles on the format, which has returned in a major way and become fashionable again in the United States in the past several years.
Leading the way once again is 1989 (Taylor’s Version), Swift’s latest release. The title, which was released in fall 2023, has now spent an even 12 weeks at No. 1 on top of the Vinyl Albums chart. That’s an impressive sum, considering it’s been on the tally for 16 frames.
Four of Swift’s next five titles all rise from where they ranked last week. Folklore is up to No. 2 (from No. 4), Midnights soars to No. 4 (from No. 5), and Evermore is up to No. 5 (from No. 8). Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) returns to the top 10 once again, lifting from No. 3 to No. 6.
In between those titles, which all gain from where they sat last time around, comes one that is falling–but still performing well. Swift’s Lover appeared in the runner-up rung on the Vinyl Albums chart last week. Now, it’s down slightly to No. 3, pushed out of second place by the surging Folklore.
Adding to her impressive performance on the Vinyl Albums chart this week, Swift sees one of her other projects return to the tally. Fearless (Taylor’s Version) reappears on the list at No. 21 after not finding space on the roster last period. That means the singer-songwriter fills seven of the 25 spots on the ranking this frame—more than a quarter of the entire list. That set has previously topped the chart and has now lived on it for a total of 48 frames.
