Taylor Swift is gearing up to release her forthcoming album, The Tortured Poets Department. The set, which she announced during one of her Grammy acceptance speeches earlier this month, is expected to arrive in April, so the singer may begin doling out tunes from the project soon. While she may be preparing to move on from her most recent album, radio programmers across the country are apparently not done with her most recent set—and some of the songs featured on it—just yet.
This week, Swift earns two new hits on Billboard’s Adult Contemporary chart. The tally ranks the most successful songs at radio stations that focus on adult contemporary, a more mature-leaning style of pop. Swift debuts not one, but a pair of tracks close to the bottom of the tally in a very surprising win.
New at No. 28 on this week’s Adult Contemporary chart is “Bad Blood (Taylor’s Version).” Just two spots below that new hit comes another from Swift. “Style (Taylor’s Version)” launches at No. 30, in last place, on the tally. Both of those songs are featured on Swift’s 1989 (Taylor’s Version), the re-recorded take on her blockbuster 1989 album.
It’s not often that any musician debuts more than one song on the Adult Contemporary chart—or any of Billboard’s radio rankings, for that matter— at a time. Swift’s feat is made even more impressive considering the fact that she already claims more spaces on the tally than any other artist this frame.
Swift is still steady at No. 1 on the Adult Contemporary chart this week. Her single “Cruel Summer” earns its fourth turn atop the tally as it passes 30 frames spent on the ranking.
The superstar claims a pair of top 10s this week, as “Anti-Hero” dips slightly to No. 5. Not far below the highest tier comes “Is It Over Now? (Taylor’s Version) (From The Vault)” at No. 14.
With her two new placements on the Adult Contemporary chart, Swift has accrued a total of 46 hits on the tally. The original versions of “Bad Blood” and “Style” both spent time in this tally when they were first released nearly a decade ago from her 1989 album. “Bad Blood” peaked at No. 9, while “Style” rose all the way to the summit for a few frames. They rank among her 19 top 10 smashes on the list.
