Taylor Swift is no stranger to New Orleans, and she’s scheduled to bring The Eras Tour to Caesars Superdome on October 25-27, 2024. This epic concert is a journey spanning 17 years and 10 albums, with 44 songs divided into 10 distinct acts.
Swifties know this is far from her first time performing in NOLA, first playing at the 2010 NFL Kickoff Game and later bringing her Reputation Stadium Tour to New Orleans in 2018. She last visited New Orleans in December 2022 for her birthday, enjoying the local cuisine, live music, and hospitality of New Orleans.
If you’re a Swiftie who just can’t wait for The Eras Tour to stop in New Orleans, try visiting these spots that Taylor herself experienced.
This legendary French Quarter music venue has hosted giants in the music business—even Taylor Swift! Swift attended a show on December 10, 2022. The intimate venue barely holds 100 spectators and offers several shows nightly. Be like Swift and check out some classic New Orleans jazz at a place that does it best.
Birthday cake, anyone? Penned the “Lavender haze surprise,” Bywater Bakery crafted Swift’s cake on her visit to New Orleans. Stop in for cake slices ranging from berry Chantilly to chocolate butter pecan or indulge in savory items such as breakfast gumbo while biding your time until Swift’s return to New Orleans.
A gorgeous restaurant located on Magazine Street in Uptown New Orleans, Saba serves modern Israeli cuisine. Take Taylor’s cue and visit for a romantic date night. Shakshuka, spicy lamb ragu, grilled Louisiana shrimp, and za’atar fried chicken await.
Swift also dined at French restaurant N7. Located in the Bywater, classic French cuisine is served here in a romantic atmosphere. Beef tartare, escargots, and soy sauce crème brûlée are just a few offerings.
Swift visited Esplanade Studios on her birthday, December 13, 2022. Fans know she’s in the process of re-recording her past records so don’t be surprised if the studio appears credited in one of her future album re-releases. Unless you’re headed to record music yourself, head not to Esplanade Studios but to the café next door, Lamara Coffee & Kitchen, which was created to serve healthy cuisine to the clients of the studio.
Try counting down the days until The Eras Tour by meeting fellow fans and attending Taylor Swift-themed dance parties and events. Past events have been held at Tipitina's and House of Blues. Keep your eyes peeled for more Taylor Swift-themed events with our feed at the bottom of this post and on our events page here.
There’s always a reason to dress up in New Orleans, and The Eras Tour is no exception! Funky Monkey and Buffalo Exchange are two second-hand / vintage clothing stores with eclectic outfits. Check out Miss Claudia’s for an over-the-top costume and top it all off with a wig from Fifi Mahony’s. You’ll find the most ‘90s accessories at Gimme NOLA.
