Skip Bayless believes Taylor Swift somehow played a role in Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce screaming at his coach during Super Bowl LVIII.
Though the Chiefs were able to win in a thrilling overtime finish, the early stages of the game were ugly. The Chiefs’ offense struggled mightily against the San Francisco 49ers’ defense; and when the team finally had a chance to score following a big play, running back Isiah Pacheco lost a fumble.
Kelce, who wasn’t in the game during that play, was livid on the sideline. He broadcast showed him yelling at head coach Andy Reid and even pushing him.
According to Bayless, Kelce cracked under the “spotlight” of being Swift’s boyfriend.
“I do believe Travis was under huge pressure because she’s up there in that suite,” Bayless said on Undisputed.
Keyshawn Johnson was disgusted by the theory and simply told Bayless, “Stop it.”
“No, I do,” Bayless insisted. “He was the focal point all week. He was the talking point. All anybody wanted to talk about [was], ‘Is she gonna make it? Did she land in LA? Is she landing in Vegas from Japan?’”
Johnson argued that Kelce was simply frustrated because he wasn’t in the game for a play in which his team turned the ball over. He wasn’t buying for a second that Swift had anything to do with the sideline eruption.
