Just when Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper started to shake the rumors that their performance as a tempestuous couple in A Star Is Born and their ridiculous onstage chemistry at the Oscars was a signal of real-life romance, they’re bubbling up again.
The last time Lady Gaga addressed it earlier this year, she shut it all the way down (or so she thought), telling Jimmy Kimmel, “We are not in love.”
“First of all, social media, quite frankly, is the toilet of the internet, and what it has done to pop culture is abysmal,” she said. “And people saw love, and guess what, that’s what we wanted you to see. From a performance perspective, it was so important to both of us that we were connected the entire time. Look, I’ve had my arms wrapped around Tony Bennett for three years touring the world. When you’re singing love songs, that’s what you want people to feel.”
But now that Lady Gaga is shouting her current single status from the stage and there are rumblings of trouble in Cooper’s marriage to model Irina Shayk, people are starting to look back at those performances of “Shallow” with renewed feelings.
“The constant speculation about Bradley’s relationship with Gaga — while things were difficult at home — didn’t help the situation,” an anonymous source told ET. “But his relationship with Gaga is not the issue. They have many daily issues as parents and as professionals and have been fighting.” The source spilled even more possible tea, suggesting that they stayed together through the film’s run so as not to “take away from the excitement of the release.” 
More likely, the parents to 2-year-old Lea De Seine are working on their family unit.
