Kansas City Chiefs sensation, Travis Kelce, shared that he spent a cool million on securing a suite for girlfriend, pop star Taylor Swift, and his family and mates at the Super Bowl LVIII.
Being the best-paid tight end in NFL history, he's set to rake in $34 million over the next couple of years thanks to his recent contract extension.
The wealthy 34-year-old put his fortune to good use last February, ensuring his favorite people were on hand to see him nab his third Super Bowl ring.
Taylor Swift, the voice behind Love Story, was spotted cheering her lad on from a VIP box at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The squad alongside her included mates Ice Spice and Blake Lively, plus Donna and Jason Kelce.
The Cherry on top, Chiefs pin-up Kelce, revealed that this visit to Sin City earlier came with a hefty price tag. In a chat with San Francisco 49ers star George Kittle on Netflix show "Receiver", the sum mentioned was staggering quote "three million dollars".
In the case of Kittle, he opted not to fork out for a box, stating that his family and friends would be "fine" mingling with the fans in the stands. Before this, Kelce had admitted on his "New Heights" podcast that he was grappling with the expense of hosting his loved ones at the Super Bowl: "I'm not really doing much different other than just counting how much money I'm spending on this damn Super Bowl for family and friends to come. Just making sure I'm on top of those finances and losing all this money.", reports the Mirror US.
His mother Donna also expressed uncertainty about her seating arrangements, telling the TODAY show: "Well, you can understand that the boxes in Vegas are multi-million dollars so I have a feeling I'm not in a box. I have a feeling I am in the stands. As far as I know I am in the stands with everybody else because it is a pricey Super Bowl."
However, seeing Kelce's family comfortably seated in the box revealed that the tight end had indeed splurged to give them a luxurious game-viewing experience. With Swift present at the event, the Chiefs owner expressed his delight before the match, saying: "Having Taylor as a new Chiefs fan is very unique."

"I don't ever do an interview without someone asking me about it. I think a lot of players and coaches on the team are in the same boat. The most important thing is we're happy for the two of them that they have found each other and have such a special relationship."
In addition, Kelce wasnt the only player who was taken aback by the elevated suite prices for the game. Christian McCaffreys mother, Lisa, candidly shared on the "Your Mom" podcast: "We looked into a suite, and none of us can afford it."
She went onto to add, somewhat humorously: "Not even Christian, money bags over there, nor money bags, Olivia. So, we are not in a suite. I will tell you that right now."
