If you’re a dunderhead whose brain is full of right-wing chowder made with only the beefiest chunks of dumb, you went into today’s Chiefs vs. Ravens game bitching to high heaven that the outcome was already “rigged” because participation trophies are the goddamn devil but sore losing is right as rain. However, if you’re a normal person, you know that the Chiefs made it to the Super Bowl last year when Taylor Swift was nowhere in the vicinity because she was across the freaking Atlantic dating some British dude. You also know that the Super Bowl is an all-consuming ratings juggernaut that doesn’t require blatant publicity stunts. In other words, you handled tonight’s outcome like an adult who understands that life is a series of random events where, sometimes, sh*t just happens. (PEOPLE)
