THE ongoing feud between Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion has ramped up, with each rapper sending new lyrical shots at the other.
The beef has been brewing between the former besties since Megan found musical success with Cardi B – apparently making Nicki extremely jealous.
On Friday, Megan dropped a new single called Hiss, which featured some choice lyrics that looked to be aimed at Nicki.
"These hoes don’t be mad at Megan, these hoes mad at Megan’s Law," the WAP collaborator rapped.
The Megan’s Law reference seems to be a shot fired at Nicki’s husband, Kenneth Petty, who was required to register as a sex offender after he was convicted of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl in 1995.
Not long after the drop, Nicki took to Instagram Live to respond, and just so happened to have her own snippet of a diss track aimed at Megan.
In the unreleased song, she raps, "Bad b***h she like six foot, I call her Big Foot.
"The b***h fell off, I said get up on your good foot."
Nicki's slam was an apparent reference to Megan's 2020 shooting incident with Tory Lanez, when the rapper shot her in the foot the night the two left Kylie Jenner's pool party.
In August, Tory was sentenced nearly eight months after he was found guilty of the shooting.
Nicki also posted a photo of her freshly manicured foot, to show Megan up.
However, fans in a Reddit chat room countered Nicki's foot fetish stinks, and let her know it.
"Nicki is really going out sad," one person shared. "And it’s embarrassing."
Another person called it all childish.
"It's so elementary, especially in comparison to Megan's lyrics. Nicki needs to be embarrassed," they wrote.
"She is completely off her rocker and her fans fuel the flames of her insanity," a third slammed.
And one person shared, "I've never seen a person more jealous and miserable that doesn't have to be."
Megan kicked off the feud rumors when she unfollowed Nicki on Instagram several years ago.
Megan had previously teamed up with Nicki for her 2019 hit Hot Girl Summer and had gushed over Minaj's credentials and "amazing" contribution to the hit.
But fans soon noticed a change in the new friendship after the musician worked with Minaj's apparent rival – Cardi B – a year later on the single WAP, which subsequently reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Speculation then continued to grow as Megan began praising Cardi B while "blanking" and distancing herself from Nicki and her friends amid rumors of a fresh feud.
When Nicki then unfollowed Megan in January 2021, the two were labeled as rivals as fans later spotted so-called disses concealed in their new tracks.
In her song Seeing Green, released in May 2021, many were convinced that Minaj had indirectly taken a dig at Stallion as she rapped, "One Margarita pizza with Parmesan and garlic. These b***hes thirsty; I can see why they alcoholics."
Then, in June 2021, Stallion released her single Thot S**t, where she appeared to aim at Minaj, rapping, "I'm the big homie, but I ain't the oldest.
"B***h dry hatin', tryna get noticed. Man, ain't nobody come to see you, Otis, look."
