SEATTLE — Taylor Swift announced her record-setting The Eras Tour will end in December.
Swift announced the official end of the tour onstage at her 100th show in Liverpool, England. She told fans the tour has been “exhausting, all-encompassing, but the most joyful, most rewarding, most wonderful thing” that has ever happened in her life.
This comes after speculation online that Swift was going to announce more tour dates for 2025, specifically in Seattle.
One mysterious website appears to have gotten a lot of fans’ hopes up. The No. 2 local Google search in the past 24 hours was “Taylor Swift Seattle 2025.”
The search traffic appears to have stemmed from a website called allevents.in, which listed a Taylor Swift show at Lumen Field for April 30, 2025. Further searching on this website shows a number of other cities appeared to have new Taylor Swift dates for 2025, including Tampa, Houston, Minneapolis and Las Vegas.
An immediate red flag on the site was the dates for when tickets will be sold. It listed the date when tickets become available to the public as Nov. 18, 2022. A “Get Tickets” link on the page also brings up a sign-up window for the website.
A TikTok user, @allthingsjc, compiled a list of cities that appeared to originate from the site. Commenters were quick to point out conflicts or potential travel issues that would come with the additional Eras Tour dates.
The March 22 Houston date, for example, would have fallen during the Houston Rodeo, a massive local event held at NRG Stadium. If the dates were correct, it would also have had Swift doing a show in St. Louis on April 29 and then flying to Seattle to play a show the following night.
Swift made sure to thank the fans at Thursday’s show and all fans who have made it to a stop on the Eras Tour for the effort they put in to be there.
“You’ve made plans so far in advance, you planned what you were going to wear, you memorized lyrics, you got yourselves here, you figured out parking, you figured out transportation, and I want to spend the 100th show just thinking about that and living in this moment with you,” she said.
The final shows for the tour are scheduled for Dec. 6-8, 2024, in Vancouver, B.C., so western Washington Swifties do still have a chance to drive a few hours and catch some confirmed dates.
