“This film chronicles a time of immense creativity…the fashion, the dance, the music,” Gaga wrote in a statement on Instagram. “Revisiting the tour leaves me speechless the way we had each other — you all showed up for music and art in a big way, and with a level of excitement and freedom that I will never forget. Stadium after stadium. Sold out crowds. The deafening singalongs.”
“Mostly, Gaga has focused Chromatica’s spectrum on the kind of body-moving music that comes naturally to her. Dance music will always be her salvation, and her pop renaissance couldn’t come at a better time.” Read the 2020 Rolling Stone Chromatica album review by Kory Grow.
The star continued, “Chromatica was colorful revenge. The chaos of it all became pure energy and life. With a texture best experienced live.”

Later in the post, Gaga shared that, “Self-acceptance is a theme that cuts through all my songs. I believe it is always possible to dig deep and find your greatness. Self-discovery is an art. Self-love is a practice. I love you monsters more than I can say. See yourself in every vocal, every fabric choice, the choreography, every image… Here’s the truth — no matter where life or my career has taken me, my time with you always is a path back to a very powerful part of myself. In a stadium filled with you it came to life. Thank you for that feeling. I hope you will feel seen when you watch this film. And know that I edited it carefully to honor you.”

$16.99
The Target-exclusive includes three special tracks you won’t find on the album eslewhere, including “Love Me Right,” “81000 Doves (Piano Demo),” and a remixed of “Stupid Love (Vitaclub Warehouse Mix).”
“Death, rebirth, blood, sweat, and tears have always been essential parts of Gaga’s ethos,” Rolling Stone‘s Brittany Spanos wrote at the time of Gaga’s Chromatical Ball stop in New Jersey back in August 2022. “She’s always been obsessed with how art interacts with and responds to tragedy. All of that comes together at Chromatica Ball, Gaga’s twice-postponed show in support of her 2020 release, Chromatica. The album dives into one of Gaga’s darkest periods (the lyrics are truly heart-wrenching … under the house-inspired beats), which came out during the world’s worst moments. But at her show on Thursday, there was only space for joy.”
