The Kelce brothers don’t always see eye-to-eye when it comes to fashion. Jason Kelce couldn’t help but playfully troll his younger brother, Travis Kelce‘s, latest ensemble on social media with a joke involving Taylor Swift’s cats.
Travis stepped out for Sunday night’s NBA finals game in Dallas, Texas, with his Kansas City Chiefs teammate, Patrick Mahomes, wearing what looked like a pair of perforated jeans. The denim pants featured strategically placed tears throughout, prompting one Swiftie on X (formerly Twitter) to crack, “What the f**k did Taylor’s cats do with his jeans?”
Cue Jason, who shared the post and added, “Now that’s funny!”
Travis has been known for his bold sensibility when it comes to his fashion choices, proving his style-standout status time and time again.
“Travis has always had a passion for fashion, something friends and family have known, but that is being highlighted now. He has an extensive closet filled with name brands, with clothing he loves and uses to express himself,” a source told ET earlier this year.
The Chiefs tight end even channeled that creativity into his own clothing line, Tru Kolors, which made him the first NFL star to have a club merchandise collaboration with the league.
“It’s full-on me,” Travs previously said on the Riggle’s Picks podcast, saying that he tends to dress himself rather than enlist a stylist. “I kind of went to like, an artsy, very multicultural school and community growing up. Every day at my school, there was kids showing up in the latest, newest, hottest gear and sneakers and everything, and I just naturally kind of gravitated towards having fun with what I throw on.”
Jason, meanwhile, has remained unapologetically steadfast in his signature style — which typically includes flip-flops.
“I didn’t think you cared about looking nice,” Travis once joked on the siblings’ New Heights podcast, presented by Wave Sports + Entertainment.
“If it’s functional, high quality and it looks good, I’m all for it,” Jason replied.
This isn’t the first time Taylor’s beloved pets have been been a hot topic in the Kelce family. Back in December, Jason’s wife, Kylie Kelce, cheekily referenced them on an episode of New Heights.
“I told Jason that I want a cat, and he told me no. And I feel like… you might like cats now,” Kylie said to Travis on the podcast, with some pointed pauses.
Swifties know that Taylor is the proud owner of three cats — Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson and Benjamin Button.
Meanwhile, as Taylor continues the European leg of her blockbuster Eras Tour, a source recently told ET that excitement has been brewing about the couple’s future together.
The source told ET, “Taylor and Travis are doing amazing, and their loved ones see an engagement coming sooner than later. They make a great match and there’s no question about that.”
