At that time, Swift was still a rising star, and Baroni admits she didn’t even know who she was.
“Taylor’s team was looking for another dancer last minute,” Baroni explains. Her friend, already one of Swift’s backup singers, made the connection. “I got the call from Taylor’s manager on Saturday and flew in on Sunday,” she recalls. With a whirlwind turnaround, Baroni booked the job and “learned all of the dances in one night.“
Meeting Swift for the first time was a life-changing moment for Baroni. “I met Taylor the day after that call, and working with her has changed the trajectory of my life,” she states, describing Swift as “an incredible boss and friend.” Baroni marvels at how “one phone call can change your life like that.”
