Taylor Swift has given her stamp of approval.
The singer reacted to a social media theory linking her latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” to its 2022 predecessor, “Midnights.”
“The first lyric from the first song on the album ‘Fortnight’ reflects the last song on ‘Midnights,’” fan Patty Eminger said in a recent Instagram video.

The “Fortnight” lyric, notably, reads, “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me.”
As for the last song on “Midnights,” the last line in “Hits Different” asks, “Is that your key in the door / Is it OK? / Is it you? / Or have they come to take me away?”
After pointing out the connection, Eminger concluded, “The album is just pure mania, and I heard someone describe it as ‘Tolerate It’ [from 2020’s ‘Evermore’] on meth, and I was like, ‘Perfect, just what I wanted.’”

When the pop star “liked” the upload, seemingly confirming Eminger’s conclusion, Swifties celebrated his success in the comments section.
“If Taylor Swift liking this doesn’t validate you, I don’t know what will 😂 you got the trophy for pointing this out!” one gushed.
Another added, “Taylor liked it so this interpretation is kinda approved by the chairman herself!”
Swift’s “secret double album” came out on April 19 — and Swift’s fans have been closely monitoring her social media activity ever since.

The day “TTPD” hit streaming services, she “liked” an Instagram carousel roasting her ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn in multiple slides.
One depicted the actor, 33, as a dead “Hunger Games” tribute, while another put him at the bottom of a ranking of Swift’s past and present boyfriends.
The Grammy winner’s current beau, Travis Kelce, naturally sat up top.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 34, began dating Swift last year and is believed to be referenced in two of her new songs, “So High School” and “The Alchemy.”
Swift also seemingly describes her relationships with Alwyn, Matty Healy and John Mayer in certain tracks, as well as her feud with Kim Kardashian.
