A biopic into the life of the late Amy Winehouse is one step closer to being released.
Back To Black will hit UK cinemas in April, but with the trailer dropping this week, some fans are already criticising the movie and they have one grievance in particular – the casting.
You can catch the trailer below:
The movie – which was first given the green light back in 2018 – will be released in cinemas on 12 April and is expected to cover much of Amy's time in the spotlight.

From her beginnings as a young singer in Camden to her first album Frank and hugely successful second album, Back To Black, the film will chart her highs as well as the catastrophic lows, which saw the star battle addiction.
Her relationship and marriage to husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, will also feature as well as her tragic death in July 2011, when Amy was aged just 27.
"Amy’s extraordinary genius, creativity and honesty that infused everything she did. A journey that took her from the craziness and colour of '90s Camden High Street to global adoration, and back again, Back to Black crashes through the looking glass of celebrity to watch this journey from behind the mirror, to see what Amy saw, to feel what she felt," says the film studio.
Starring in the movie is Marisa Abela as Amy, meanwhile Skins star Jack O'Connell will play husband, Blake, and Eddie Marsan takes on the role of Mitch Winehouse, Amy's father.

The film will be Abela's first major leading role, but fans are already questioning whether another actress should have taken it on.
One person wrote on X (formerly Twitter): "I think Lady Gaga would suit her role as a singer and actress."
While another said: "They finally made an amy winehouse movie n didn’t cast lady gaga??? what a crime."
And a third added: "They made an Amy Winehouse biopic and didn’t cast Lady Gaga…?"
"The fact that Lady Gaga wasn't cast to star as Amy Winehouse in her biopic is insane," wrote a fourth.

Director Sam Taylor-Johnson has already spoken out about her decision to cast Abela, explaining that finding her was like 'discovering gold dust'.
"Discovering a talent like Marisa Abela is akin to finding gold dust. The moment she looked into the lens at her first audition I knew she was the perfect actor to play Amy Winehouse," she said.
"She put in an enormous amount of work, attention to every detail and she trained daily for hours to be able to sing throughout the entire movie. She doesn’t impersonate Amy, she inhabits her."

Amy sadly passed away in 2011, with an inquest into her death confirming that she died of an accidental alcohol overdose.
Back To Black will be released in UK cinemas on 12 April 2024.
