On the heels of the release of “The Tortured Poets Department,” a Taylor Swift-themed pub crawl is coming to San Francisco. And I bet you can guess which neighborhood it’s coming to.
In a move that feels almost too on the nose, the Marina, the city’s most Greek Life-forward locale, will play host to Taylor Crawl.
“Swifties of San Francisco, get ready to paint the town red (Taylor’s Version)!” read the bar crawl’s official announcement.

The celebration is set for this Saturday, April 20. Folks who were disappointed about the cancellation of San Francisco’s annual 420 event on Hippie Hill could opt to go to the bar crawl instead. But — despite a reference to weed in “Florida!!!” — the two events will likely cater to slightly different crowds.
Fourteen different Marina bars are participating in the pub crawl, each with a different Taylor-inspired theme. Most of the bars will focus on one of Swift’s albums. For example, Westwood will be “1989”-themed, while Palm House will be dedicated to “Fearless.” Songs from Swift’s self-titled debut album are coming to Del Mar’s sandy shores.
But some themes are more abstract. Jaxson’s plans to celebrate The Eras Tour while Wizards and Wands is inexplicably attempting to pull off a “Wizarding World of Taylor Swift” theme. It’s nice to see the bar leaning into the Marina’s “basic” stereotype by appealing to Swifties and Potterheads.

The evening promises to feature Taylor Swift karaoke, a friendship bracelet craft area and plenty of Swift-inspired drink specials — “Shake it Off” Sangria and “Bad Blood” Bloody Marys were listed specifically.
The event is scheduled to run from 4 to 10 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets, which offer “exclusive access to all participating bars, drink specials, party favors and an unforgettable night of music,” are available for $15 to $25.
