Travis Kelce, the star player for the Kansas City Chiefs, recently opened up about his relationship with pop star Taylor Swift, describing it as a “high school romance.” Despite their differing interests, Kelce admitted on his brother Jason Kelce’s podcast, New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, that he’s unsure how he managed to win over Swift, who is famously not into sports.
“I don’t know how I did it because she wasn’t into sports, so I don’t know how the f**k I did it,” said Kelce on the podcast. However, he expressed his excitement about the relationship, noting that it has introduced a whole new audience, the Swifties, to the world of football. “Bringing new lives to the football world and opening up the football world up to new things,” he added.

Lil Dicky, a rapper and stand-up comedian who appeared on the podcast as a guest, shared a theory about their romance. “I think there’s just something that makes everyone feel like the world is like high school, where your most popular pop star beloved musician somehow met your most popular beloved athlete and they actually fell in love and it’s just real. Anyone who hates on it is a bitter loser,” he said. Kelce agreed with the theory, saying, “I appreciate it.”

The relationship between Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift began during Swift’s Eras Tour stop at Arrowhead Stadium in July 2023. Since then, their romance has captivated fans, with Kelce even planning to accompany Swift on her upcoming international tour leg in Europe in May.
Meanwhile, Taylor Swift is set to release her new album, The Tortured Poets Department, on April 19, and Swifties across the globe cannot keep calm.
