According to Variety, Warner Bros‘ production will largely take on the form of “mostly a jukebox musical,” as it incorporates at least 15 reinterpretations of “very well-known” songs.
Per the report, ‘That’s Entertainment’ from the 1953 musical ‘The Band Wagon,’ as popularized by Judy Garland.
Word is that there’s scope for an original track (or two).
One would imagine that angle will be crossed given Gaga’s Pop superstar status and previous Best Original Song wins at the Oscars for ‘Shallow.’
‘Joker: Folie à Deux,’ directed by Todd Phillips, debuts in theaters worldwide on October 4.
