Cardi B helped Madonna close out her Celebration Tour stand in Los Angeles, taking the stage as a special guest judge for the “Vogue” ballroom competition.
The rapper dressed up for the occasion in a very Madonna outfit — bright blonde wig and diamond encrusted, conical bra top. Video of the ballroom competition showed Cardi and Madonna astutely judging the performers, giving out a handful of ruthless “CHOPs” and bestowing a bunch of perfect 10s, including Madonna’s 11-year-old daughter, Estere.
Madonna has welcomed an array of different celebrities to help her judge the Celebration Tour’s ballroom contest. Past guest judges include Pamela Anderson, Kelly Ripa, Julia Fox, FKA Twigs Julia Garner, Diplo, Debi Mazar, Alexa Demi, and Madonna’s own boyfriend Josh Popper.
Earlier in her L.A. run, Madonna also welcomed Kylie Minogue to the stage for a surprise appearance. The pair delivered a performance of Gloria Gaynor’s classic, “I Will Survive,” as well as Minogue’s own smash, “Can’t Get You Out of My Head.”
Madonna is approaching the final stretch of her Celebration Tour, which will wrap with five nights in Mexico City at the end of April. The tour got off to a belated start last year after Madonna was forced to postpone it because of a frightening bacterial infection that left her in a medically induced coma for several days.
As for Cardi B, she appears to be gearing up to finally release the follow-up to her smash debut album, Invasion of Privacy, which arrived in 2017. Earlier this month, she dropped a new single, “Like What (Freestyle)” and teased another tune, dancing and lip syncing to an unreleased track on TikTok.
