After various reports of Taylor Swift putting on a performance at the Hollywood Sign hit the web, fans are wondering if it is happening. Here is whether said performance is happening or not.
No, Taylor Swift is not performing at the Hollywood Sign in 2024.
As per a new report from Variety, Taylor Swift is not putting on a performance at the Hollywood sign in 2024.
This is contrary to the various reports from publications such as the New York Daily News on Tuesday morning. These indicated that production of a performance from the Bad Blood singer in partnership with Disney Plus had been planned. This plan was rumored despite the dismay of surrounding neighbors.
However, according to a source close to Variety, the production withdrew its application, and the shoot was canceled altogether. According to some sources of the news outlet, Taylor Swift was never scheduled to make an appearance. This was the case even before production was halted.
These reports hit the web just as Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Movie is set to make its Disney Plus and streaming debut. The film is set to release on March 14 at 6 p.m. and will clock in at over 2 hours and 45 minutes.
The Disney Plus version of the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour Movie will include Cardigan and Maroon. It will also include three acoustic songs that were not available in the digital and theatrical versions of the movie.
Taylor Swift is reportedly currently on a break from the International leg of her Eras Tour. The Bad Blood singer plans to pick back up on her tour on May 9 at the Paris La Défense Arena. The singer-songwriter’s eleventh studio album is titled The Tortured Poets Department. It was announced by Swift at the February 2024 Grammys, and is currently slated for an April 19, 2024 release.
