On X Spaces, Cardi B reminded the BardiGang that she still has to be fierce in her music.
Sad news for fans who prefer the pop side of Cardi B: she can’t always do “glittery” records.
The “Enough (Miami)” rapper held an X Spaces on Wednesday (July 10), where she announced an upcoming collaboration with New Orleans rapper Rob49. But shortly after sharing her excitement for the single, Cardi warned her fans, named the BardiGang, that she can’t always cater to their pop-leaning taste.
“Make sure y’all check out that Rob49 record. We been did this record. We’ve had this record since, like, I think January. I think he was actually waiting for the summer time because it’s like such a fun summertime record,” Cardi said around the 4:30-minute mark.
She continued, “I wanna let some of y’all also know that I cannot always do glittery, fun, female stuff all the time, you know what I’m saying? I gotta get to the n***as, you know what I’m saying? I’m a whole hood n***a … Like, I have a gun as my dick.”
“Y’all can’t always be like, ‘Oh my gosh,’ like, I can’t do all that glittery shit. All my big features are gonna be on my album. I have good features on my album. So for y’all to be like, ‘Oh my God, she’s doing all this with that.'”
“It’s like that, that’s why some of y’all I be feeling like y’all really just live on the internet … I be outside,” the Bronx native affirmed. “So what’s outside is what I wanna fucking—you know what I’m saying? I wanna go to the club and pop pussy with my songs. So make sure you check out that record, it’s fun.”

Teasing that the single would release on July 19, around the 6:45-mark, Cardi recited the lyrics, rapping “Fuck me on the money, bitch / We don’t need no bed.”
“Actually I’m about to be 32. I could only fuck on the bed, like, I don’t wanna fuck on the floor. I’m sorry. Like, I will do it. I do it just to please my motherfucker, but I don’t wanna fuck on the floor,” she jokingly clarified. “I don’t wanna fuck on no counters. I don’t wanna fuck on the bathroom sink, I wanna fuck on a bed.”
“Actually, I wanna lay down, to be honest with you. I wanna lay down, like, you know what I’m saying? I’m 32 but I used to be a stripper so my body is like 46,” she added, possibly changing her mind about the song’s risqué lyrics. “So yeah, fuck me on the money, unless it’s a bed with money. Actually, I don’t wanna fuck on the money. That’s—that’s actually very dirty. It’s very, very dirty. It’s giving ‘a rash on my back.'”
Cardi’s catalog has been relatively hip-hop-oriented throughout her career, although she’s done pop and R&B features with the likes of Normani, Lizzo, and more recently, Shakira.
