Sure, some celebrities may simply be more genetically blessed than the rest of us. But there’s no denying that they also have the ultimate access to the latest cosmetic procedures and top doctors in the industry. So are celebrity patients just like us? Kind of—but with a few key differences, according to the doctors we spoke with. One major point of distinction is the entourage they often have, notes New York City board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Jordan Terner, who performed Amy Schumer’s well-publicized liposuction procedure. “Celebrities often travel with assistants, hairstylists, makeup artists, and stylists, all of whom can influence them. The most important thing when having an initial consultation with any patient, especially a celebrity, is to clear the room of all outside influence,” he points out.
And yes, in case you were wondering, even doctors are susceptible to becoming starstruck, but that doesn’t change how they treat their client; it’s always best to approach all patients the same, says Dr. Terner. “They do often demand more flexibility when it comes to timing, privacy, and accommodations, and while we try to tend to this, it’s still important not to diverge from tried-and-true methodology,” he says.
Dr. Paul Nassif, a board-certified plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills, California, who has treated supermodels, influencers, and celebrities (both on his show, Botched, and off camera) agrees. “All kinds of patients can be picky, which is why it’s important to always set realistic expectations in advance, no matter who they are,” he says. Similarly, any type of patient, be it a Real Housewife, a high-end attorney, or an A-list celebrity, is susceptible to issues such as body dysmorphia, and it’s always important to catch that, he adds.
Here, we compiled 14 of the top celebrity plastic surgeons and derms in the business plus what their high-profile patients have had to say about them.
In July 2021, Marc Jacobs made news when he documented every detail of his recovery from a deep plane facelift, performed by Dr. Jacono, on Instagram. Dr. Jacono then praised Jacobs for actively speaking out: “When someone of Marc’s status is sharing, it helps people realize that there are things we all can do to maintain ourselves and enhance our appearance. It sends people a message: yes, it’s possible to look like yourself, it’s not as bad as you think, and you can get the results you want without looking like you had bad plastic surgery,” he said in an interview with Vogue. Dr. Jacono performed a deep plane facelift on RHONJ star Sonja Morgan in 2020. “I entrusted my face to the best @drjacono and he hit it out of the park,” she captioned her before and after Instagram photos.
Stars including Nicole Kidman, Zooey Deschanel, and Angela Bassett flock to Dr. Shamban, who’s well-known for whipping their skin into tip-top shape before awards season.
Gwyneth Paltrow and Stephanie Seymour are reported patients of Dr. Anolik, but his most outspoken fan is Kelly Ripa. The talk show host, who writes openly about her love of Botox in her book Live Wire: Long Winded Short Stories, says he’s the dermatologist who keeps her looking youthful. She names him in the book credits and gave him a signed copy. “Dear Dr. Anolik — The true love of my life. Thank you for keeping me 5–10 years younger looking than I am. Love, Kelly XO,” she wrote in the inscription, which she shared on Instagram.
Angelina Jolie has reportedly seen Dr. Colbert for his high-tech Triad Facial, which features a combination of microdermabrasion, a laser, and a light peel; Alessandra Ambrosio and Naomi Watts are said to be fans of the facial as well. He also has said that supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley comes to him for LED treatments, to reduce inflammation and improve skin tone.
Top celebrities, models, and influencers are frequently seen at Dr. Devgan’s Upper East Side office; Kim Kardashian, Bella Hadid, and Jennifer Aniston are well-known fans of Dr. Devgan’s product line. Erin and Sara Foster are also patients, sharing on their podcast that they’ve seen her for injectables and “gotten shot up all over.”
As a top facial plastic surgeon in Hollywood, Dr. Diamond treats some of the biggest names in the business. Kourtney Kardashian sought his help for dealing with traction alopecia, which he treated with PRP injections, as seen on an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Chrissy Teigen, known for sharing her various cosmetic procedures on social media, has credited him for her buccal fat removal, eyebrow transplant, and underarm Botox. Megan Fox has also been spotted leaving his Beverly Hills office—though she remained tight lipped about what she’d had done as she attempted to cover up noticeably plumper-looking lips—as has Katy Perry.
Khloé Kardashian shouted out Dr. Fisher, another of the clan’s got-to doctors, for helping her address a skin cancer scare on her face last year. “I’m grateful that Dr. Fisher was able to get everything—all my margins appear clear now and we are onto the healing process,” she captioned a photo on her Instagram Story of her bandaged cheek. And The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Lisa Rinna saw Dr. Fisher for lip reduction surgery after having permanent silicone filler in her lips removed.

Kim Kardashian took to Instagram to document the skin-tightening Morpheus8 procedure that Dr. Ghavami performed on her stomach. “This is a game changer!!! I did Morpheous [sic] laser to tighten my stomach at @drghavami’s spa @gpsaesthetics I think this is my fave laser but it’s painful lol but worth it!” she wrote. (Morpheus8 is actually a radiofrequency microneedling treatment.) Dr. Ghavami has also performed Potenza, another type of RF microneedling, on Kardashian.
Iggy Azalea is another of Dr. Ghavami’s A-listers. She sang his praises after he performed her rhinoplasty and breast augmentation. “It might seem obvious I’d hold the man I owe my fabulous nose and breasts to in high regard. But vanity aside; Ash you’re hilarious as hell, talented, eclectic, a progressive thinker & someone who supports women in their choice to do what they want with their OWN bodies (tons of men don’t share that sentiment) So cheers to you! I’m proud to call you my friend,” she captioned a photo of the two of them in 2016.
The only plastic surgery that Khloé Kardashian has copped to is rhinoplasty, and she credits Dr. Kanodia for her “perfect” nose. He confirmed the surgery via an Instagram post, noting that she underwent a closed, scarless rhinoplasty, which makes for an easier recovery. In a 2013 interview, Britney Spears also revealed that she’s one of Dr. Kanodia’s patients, saying, “A doctor I see, Dr. Kanodia, does fun stuff to me sometimes—I’ve had lip injections before.”
Dr. Lancer’s list of celebrity patients truly reads like a who’s who of Hollywood. It includes Beyoncé, Margot Robbie, Jennifer Lopez, and Victoria Beckham—whom he has lauded for being incredibly disciplined with her skin-care routine. “[Beckham] has a firm concept of the words ‘program’ and ‘discipline’—she’s the poster child for discipline, avoiding craziness and temptation,” he told Page Six.
According to Dr. Matlock’s website, he has treated countless A-listers as well as foreign presidents and billionaires. Amber Rose turned to him for liposuction to address C-section scar tissue. More recently, Dr. Matlock removed Blac Chyna’s silicone butt injections (just one of multiple cosmetic procedures she had reversed), posting a video of the two of them discussing her results and the dangers of these injections.
Kylie Jenner’s lips have changed sizes multiple times over the years, but it was Dr. Ourian who first injected her lips with filler. “He’s the best, and he’s super natural about it,” she said in a 2015 New York Times article.
Jenna Dewan has attributed her glowing, even skin to a Coolaser treatment performed by Dr. Ourian: “Those who have had melasma know it’s hard to manage and big thanks to @simonourianmd1 and his magical coolaser!!” she captioned an Instagram selfie; Olivia Culpo is also a fan of the same treatment. Kim Kardashian, Lady Gaga, and Christie Brinkley are just a few of Dr. Ourian’s other high-profile patients.
Dr. Rizk is the man behind RHONJ newbie Jennfier Fessler’s recent glow-up, which included both a rhinoplasty and lower facelift. He’s also responsible for Fergie’s lips and Kelly Osbourne’s Botox.
