Cardi B found tons of success with the release of “Enough (Miami) earlier this year, but she is now being sued for allegedly plagiarizing the blockbuster hit from a joint released almost three years ago.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ on Wednesday (July 3), musicians Joshua Fraustro and Miguel Aguilar a.k.a. Kemika 1956, claim the New York City native copied parts of their song “Greasy Frybread” without authorization from them.

The track in question was released to promote Season 1 of Sterlin Harjo and Taika Waititi’s comedy-drama Reservation Dogs back in 2021.
The lawsuit also names the 31-year-old MCs producers OG Parker and DJ SwanQo as well as her labels Atlantic Records and Warner Music Group as defendants in the case.
As for her next album, Cardi B hasn’t revealed too many details, though it seems like she’s actively working on it.
Earlier this week, the South Bronx rapper took to her Instagram Stories and shared a brief snippet from a song she hasn’t released yet. The recording quite noticeably features the superstar singing in a way unlike the material for which she is best known.

I hope that you on your way/ Crazy ’bout you/ Waiting on you, can’t wait to sit on that face/ Focused on you,” she croons over a sample from Janet Jackson‘s “Funny How Time Flies (When You’re Having Fun)” and some Hip Hop drums.
Stamped over the video, she wrote: “Yall like this vibe for CB2?”

A few months back, she opened up about the long-awaited follow-up to 2018’s Invasion of Privacy during an interview with Rolling Stone.
The superstar claimed that it was partially done as of March, sharing that it still needed an intro, at least three more songs, a title, features and a rollout plan.

As for what to expect on the upcoming album, she said: “[I’m] a different person every single day. When I’m in a good mood and I’m with my friends, [I’m] like, ‘Damn, I want my shit to be played in this club.’ But then I might be mad with my man, so it’s like now I want to do this song. But then I want to do a pop record. I want to do my sing-y shit.”
The “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker previously assured fans that a new album would be dropping in 2024, which would mark six years since the release of her record-breaking debut album.
