The pop sensation and NFL ace’s relationship “feels very different for both”
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have “very different” feelings in their relationship but remain really happy and serious together as they approach their first year of dating in a partnership surprisingly more symmetrical than everyone first thought.
The world was stunned when news broke that the Kansas City Chiefs‘ ace tight end was courting the globe’s biggest singer as she made a series of appearances at the Arrowhead Stadium at the start of the 2023/24 NFL season.
And one year on, the couple only appears to be going from strength to strength together as they begin to force a dynamic partnership and an unbreakable connection leaving them swept up in love, according to sources close to the pair.
“They really are very, very happy together,” an insider told PEOPLE. “They’re very serious about each other, and the relationship feels different for both of them. They have so much fun together, and it just works.
“It’s funny to their friends because at first everyone wondered what they had in common, but you realize how similar they are. They both wear their hearts on their sleeves and are all-in with everything they do, whether it’s with career, family or friends.”
They appear to be unafraid of commitment and making sacrifices together as Kelce and Swift are often spotted giving up hours of their free time to sit on transatlantic or transpacific flights to get back to the person they love, even if it’s just for a few days.
Swift regularly did that throughout the NFL season and now Kelce is repaying the favor as she embarks on her Eras Tour around the planet which the triple Super Bowl champion relaxes in the offseason from his sport.
And as Kelce begins to return to football to gear up for his latest NFL campaign, it’s clear to him that whilst he will continue to pursue his career he will not allow it to come at the expense of his relationship with Swift and he will not allow her to feel forgotten.
“Football is definitely still his priority but so is his relationship,” the source added. “He makes romantic gestures to show he’s thinking of her when they’re apart. She’s going to try to attend as many games as possible.”
