A few weeks ago her private plane was vandalized after landing in London
One of the most popular and influential people today is the American singer Taylor Swift. The artist is touring the world on her ‘The Eras Tour’, having a great impact in Madrid, where she had two concerts, or London, which was attended by thousands of people including the Infanta Leonor or Prince William of England, heir to the throne.
Soon it will be the turn of the Irish capital, Dublin.
Despite the great success of this tour and the unconditional love of her fans, Swift has been involved in a controversy for having made the shortest flight in the world.
As reported by an Instagram user, the American singer took a private flight from Los Angeles airport to make a 40-second journey.
Swift took off from the airport to make a journey of only 6 kilometers. As she says in the video, “this route in Los Angeles, with the 5 pm traffic, could mean an estimated time of between 10 and 15 minutes”, she also adds that it is a path that can be done walking, but due to her fame it would be something difficult to do.
But the criticism of many of the people who have complained about this news is that Taylor Swift has spoken out several times in public against global warming, something that goes totally against what she is doing on her tour, since to move from city to city she has to be constantly taking a private plane.
Recently her private jet was sprayed with orange paint by climate change activists after landing in London.
They are the Just Stop Oil platform, who argued: “A single flight on a private jet can easily emit as much carbon dioxide as the average annual carbon footprint of an EU citizen”.
