The Kansas City Chiefs superstars Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes made efforts to make the youngsters feel at ease on their visit to the team’s HQ in Missouri in a heartwarming scene
Kansas City Chiefs superstar Travis Kelce and teammate Patrick Mahomes delighted their fans as they met a young cancer survivor before posing for photos and signing a shirt that paid homage to Taylor Swift.
The three-time Super Bowl winners were present at a meet and greet before a practice session at their HQ in Missouri as they made the youngsters feel at home. Make-A-Wish kid Jackson has been through seven rounds of aggressive treatment but has now had the all-clear.
He beamed with joy as he came face to face with the Chiefs superstars, with running back Isiah Pacheco and head coach Andy Reid taking the time to chat with the boy and the other kids present. A video of the encounter was posted by the KC official account on Twitter/X as users praised the players and staff for their efforts.

The clip, which showed Jackson and his friends interacting with Kelce, Mahomes and Reid was captioned: "The guys got to spend some time with Make-A-Wish kiddo Jackson yesterday who, after 7 rounds of aggressive treatment, just recently got to say he is officially cancer free."
Walking over to Jackson, Mahomes asked: "How you doing man?", while Kelce also gave the youngsters a warm welcome as he made the day of those present by signing the autographs for those present, while saying: "Dudes and dudettes, give me some love," adding: 'You enjoying the day?"
Coach Reid also showed his softer side as he handed out some merch, while placing a couple of caps on the head of one youngster as he even offered some advice to the kid over to wear one hat forwards and the other backwards, quipping: "Then they don't know if you're coming or going."
With Mahomes and Kelce signing autographs for a fan dressed in a T-shirt hailing "Taylor Swift's boyfriend" – in reference to the tight end's romance with the pop superstar- fans praised the pair for their hospitality on the day. Taking to social media, one fan said: "Awesome! So happy for that family and Jackson! Class act from the @Chiefs.
One fan then said: "I could not pick a favorite part of this video if I tried. Everyone treated them with such warmth and kindness. The world needs more of this:" as another said: "Mahomes and Pacheco getting down on the kids' level rather tower over them,' and one added: "What a way to celebrate Jackson's milestone! Go Chiefs!!"
Earlier that day Kelce's teammate Chris Jones had also expressed his hope that his college's retirement is still many years away as he spoke about the star's long-term future. He said: "We can't let TK go. It's like we retire, we've got to retire together. Give me at least six, four years, then we'll talk about it."
