Instagram’s most-followed celebrities don’t just get lots of likes on their posts — they also get a lot of money. Through sponsored content and “#ad”-tagged stories, popular public figures can earn several millions of dollars each year.
Bored Panda wanted to know who America’s highest-paid Instagram celebrities were, so they compiled a list of 850 US celebs and calculated their estimated yearly earnings from sponsored posts on the app.
Actor and comedian Kevin Hart is both Pennsylvania‘s top Instagram earner and the best-paid US celeb on the app overall. According to Bored Panda’s estimations, he earned more than $28 million between April 2023 and March 2024.
Kylie Jenner is the highest-earning Instagram celebrity in California, raking in around $16.8 million over the past year, while Mark Wahlberg tops the list in Massachusetts, with estimated earnings of $15.5 million.
