GloRilla has dropped a remix of her single “Wanna Be” featuring Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B. While Megan appeared on the original version of the track, released earlier this year, Cardi is a new addition, adding her vocals to the hard-hitting song.
The rapper teased the remix last week, noting, “Y’all been asking for this so here it is!!” The release comes just a few days after Cardi B joined GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion during the New York City stop of Meg’s Hot Girl Summer tour (Glo is an opener), where the trio debuted the remix.
The original “Wanna Be” featuring Megan Thee Stallion was a standout on Glo’s April album Ehhthang Ehhthang, alongside “All Dere” with Moneybagg Yo, and “Yeah Glo,” which she wrote after feeling “not the most confident.”
“It was most definitely a confidence booster for myself and me just talking to myself and boosting myself up,” GloRilla told Rolling Stone in April. “When you have such a good beat, the song just gonna come along. I feel like if you got a good beat, you could damn near say anything on the song gonna be good. But if you got a good beat and lyrics good too? That’s what makes the hit what it is.”
Megan Thee Stallion and Glo will continue their Hot Girl Summer tour with shows around the U.S. Following the tour, GloRilla is set to perform at the 2024 BET Awards.
