Taylor Swift broke the internet and made one activewear brand’s dreams come true when she
shared a YouTube short featuring her wearing a purple workout skort. Fans immediately
scoured the internet to find out where it was from, leading them to discover POPFLEX and their
Pirouette Skort, which sold out in a matter of moments.
While POPFLEX was new to many Swifties, I’ve been wearing (and loving) the brand for quite some time. Keep reading for my honest POPFLEX review and my experience wearing their pieces.
I was first introduced to POPFLEX through AAPI CEO and lead designer Cassey Ho’s Blogilates
YouTube channel, which is my Pilates go-to on days when I don’t feel like going to the gym or I
want to switch up my workout routine.
From bags and hats with bows to ballet-inspired shrugs and dresses, POPFLEX has become
known for its innovative products that are both cute and functional. Ho often takes to social
media to ask for customer feedback and has been known to update pieces based on the
suggestions she receives. The line features trendy styles, such as crisscross waistbands, cargo
pockets, and flare-leg bottoms, and almost all products are under $100.
The best part: POPFLEX is size-inclusive, offering sizes XXS to 3X and showing a variety of
body types on their website. As a mid-size girl, I appreciate that their clothes have been made
with bodies like mine in mind.
While I love POPFLEX and appreciate their size inclusivity, my relationship with their sizing is complicated. I find that their tops and dresses usually run true to size. Their bottoms, in my
experience, tend to run smaller, so I often have to size up one to two sizes. Their sweatshirts are
designed to be oversized, and I prefer a more fitted look, so I’ll go one size down in those. It’s taken some trial and error to find the best fit for me, but once I found my correct size, their pieces
became some of my favorites. You may want to buy pieces across multiple categories the first time around, as it costs $5.95 to ship any returns (they have a 30-day return policy).
Not only is this piece one of my favorites from POPFLEX but it’s also hands down my favorite
hoodie in my wardrobe. I love the detail of the drop sleeve, and the adjustable side bungee
cords make it easy to adjust the length to make the perfect cropped fit for your body. To me. the best
feature is the zippered front pocket. My phone has fallen out of my hoodies with traditional open pockets at the gym more times than I can count, but I never have to worry about that when I wear this hoodie, thanks to its secure pockets.
Available in three colors.
I’ve never gotten more compliments on a piece of activewear than I have in this dress. It’s my
go-to for running errands, hot girl walks, and pretty much any outdoor activity during the
summer. I love that it has slight compression and an adjustable waistband, so you feel secure
without it being too constricting.
Available in three colors.
As someone who’s not comfortable showing a lot of skin in the gym, I typically reach for crop
tops over sports bras, and this one prevails. I love how feminine the corset detailing is and how
it adds a little something extra to the top. I also appreciate the adjustable straps, which can be
hard to find from other brands. My favorite part? You could easily pair this with jeans for a date
night after pilates.
If there’s one thing I’m picky about, it’s my leggings. I prefer them to have just the right amount
of compression to provide support during workouts but also be comfortable enough for
lounging around the house, and these leggings check both boxes. What’s more, they’re
available in five different inseam options so you can find your perfect length, which makes all
the difference for short girls, like me, who tend to struggle with leggings being too long.
Available in 10 colors.
Available in four colors.
I never thought I’d be the kind of person who carries around a gallon of water, but that all
changed once I got this water jug from POPFLEX. I fill it up in the morning and bring it with me
everywhere I go. The time stamps on the side of the bottle help me stay on top of my hydration
game, and with its internal (removable) fruit infuser, adding flavor to your water is a no-brainer.
Available in four colors.
While POPFLEX already makes up a fair amount of my workout wardrobe, there are still several pieces I have my eye on. Here’s what’s in my cart:

If you’re looking for high-quality workout wear designed by a woman, for women, look no further. POPFLEX has combined feminine details with functional designs to create pieces that not only look good but are also highly wearable. They continue to offer innovative pieces, and they take feedback from their customers seriously.
If I had to find one complaint about POPFLEX’s activewear, it’s that their pricing is a little out of my budget. Considering some of my other favorite activewear pieces come from Amazon at a more affordable price point, it’s hard for me to justify paying $60 for leggings or a skort. That said, shopping at POPFLEX means I’m supporting a small, woman- and AAPI-owned business and getting quality products, so it’s ultimately worth it to me.
