IT seems safe to say Travis Kelce isn't a hugely popular figure in Texas.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end made his way to Dallas on Sunday for Game 3 in the Western Conference Finals between the Mavericks and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Kelce and teammate Marquise Brown headed for the American Airlines Center alongside Super Bowl MVP and avid Mavericks fan Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany.
Seated courtside, in-house cameras showed the trio on the jumbotron, with Kelce receiving a chorus of boos from fans.
With his hands on his chest, the 34-year-old looked stunned before waving to the camera and pointing to Mahomes.
The Texas native then stood to amp up the crowd, prompting a round of applause from the locals.
The clip swiftly made its way to X, formerly known as Twitter, where the Mavericks captioned the footage, "Our guy Pat and @taylorswift13's boyfriend in the house!"
Dallas' caption drew plenty of attention from fans, with one follower commenting, "Taylor Swift's boyfriend. They did bro dirty."
"What is this caption bro?" asked a second.
"'Taylor Swift's boyfriend,' that's savage. Give the Community Manager a raise," commented another.
While a fourth said, "All we need now is @taylorswift13 at our games."
Unfortunately for fans, it seems unlikely that pop sensation Swift, who went public with Kelce in September 2023, will attend any NBA games this season.
The 34-year-old is currently knee-deep in the European leg of her mammoth Eras Tour.
Swift is set to perform in Madrid, Spain on Wednesday and Thursday before heading for Lyon, France on June 2 and 3.
The next significant break in her tour won't be until after the last of her five appearances at Wembley Stadium in London, England, on August 20.
This should mean that Swift will be able to attend a significant number of Kelce's games this season.
The Chiefs will begin their attempt at the elusive three-peat on September 5 against the Baltimore Ravens in a repeat of the 2023 AFC Championship Game.
Swift's tour will resume on November 14 in Toronto, Canada.
In the meantime, Kelce remains Stateside, making the most of his offseason before training camp.
As well as his trip to AAC to see the Mavericks take a 3-0 series lead, the day prior, Kelce also headed to the arena to watch as the Dallas Stars beat the Edmonton Oilers 3-1 in the Western Conference Finals.

After seeing a clip of Kelce in attendance, Mahomes tweeted, "Yo get out of my arena!! @tkelce."
"Gotta love playoff hockey baby!!! You’ve never even skated!" Kelce responded.
The Stars and Oilers are now tied at 1-1 heading into Monday's game at Rogers Place.
