DALLAS — It’s one of the most exciting times to be a Dallas sports fan in decades and even Taylor Swift’s boyfriend wants in on the action.
As the Mavericks fought for a Game 3 win against the Timberwolves on Sunday, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce were there to take it all in.
As the camera panned to the Kansas City Chiefs stars seated courtside, Mavs fans in the American Airlines Center booed Kelce before celebrating Texas native Mahomes as he hyped up the crowd.
Mahomes, a big-time Dallas sports fan, regularly attends Mavericks games courtside. Kelce was also spotted attending Game 2 of the NHL’s 2024 Western Conference Final between the Edmonton Oilers and the Dallas Stars in a suite with Stars President and CEO Brad Alberts
The Dallas Mavericks referred to Mahomes as “our guy Pat,” in a post to X while poking fun at Kelce for his relationship with Taylor Swift, identifying him solely as Swift’s boyfriend.

Mahomes and Kelce, no stranger to playoff wins themselves, were spotted interacting with Mavs players during and after the game. It’s unclear whether Mahomes or Kelce will stick around to see if the Stars can pull away from a tied series with the Oilers tonight, or watch the Mavs potentially pull off a sweep against the T-wolves Tuesday.
Even if they are, Kelce’s superstar girlfriend likely won’t join them, as Swift prepares to perform two concerts in Madrid starting Wednesday night.
Queen Latifah and Mavs legend Dirk Nowitzki were also at the ACC to watch the Mavs secure the 116-107 win against Minnesota.
