While the star-studded affair celebrates the fashion and entertainment industry, AI was also a headline maker for generating deepfake content to mimic the presence of celebrities at the event.
In one image circulating on X (formerly called Twitter), the AI replica of singer Katy Perry is wearing a ball gown adorned with rich floral prints, which ends with a moss structure. The community note on the image said: “This was created with AI. The stairs are also from 2018, not 2024.”

The views and likes on the image have surpassed to over 13.4 million and three lakh. In another fake photo, Perry is wearing a bronze corset and a floral skirt. For context, Katy Perry did not attend the event but did ‘Like’ both the posts on X, according to TechCrunch. She reportedly shared her mother’s reaction, who complimented her looks. However, Perry replied: “lol mom the AI got you too, BEWARE!”

Secondly, an AI image of Rihanna wearing a floral-themed gown. It has a halo around the head, which covers the shoulders and the back and is decorated with birds and flowers apart from the regular foliage. However, Rihanna reportedly skipped the event because of the flu and dyed her hair pink.

Further, Lady Gaga was targeted in the imaginations of AI. However, due to the odd appearance of the dress, it was easy to identify it as a fake. The stated images have garnered views in millions across social media sites.
