Happy 38th birthday, Lady Gaga!
On Thursday, the pop icon celebrated her birthday by sharing a sweet car selfie — showing off her bleached hair and brows — on Instagram, and telling fans that she’s the happiest she’s ever been. Oh, and that she’s been working on some of her music, too.
“Today has been so special — I can’t remember a time I was so happy on my bday. I am in love with my best friend, my family and friends are loving and kind and healthy,” Gaga wrote. “I feel like my heart is bursting with gratitude for my own health and music — I am writing some of my best music in as long as I can remember.”
“And seeing messages from all over the world from little monsters — artists — publications that love my work it means so much to me,” she continued. “Thank you thank you thank you for loving me the way you do and for having such a real love for my songs—I’ve been writing pop songs since I was a little girl I can’t believe I still get to do what I love.”

The star ended her note by promising that this year will “be an important and meaningful year for us” and that she’s “honored” to make music that helps change people’s lives.
Gaga has been occasionally sharing photos of herself in the studio, and recently announced the revival of her Jazz and Piano show in Las Vegas, where she performs jazz standards and tracks from the Great American songbook. She’s also set to join Fortnite for Fortnite Festival this year.
There’s been somewhat of a Gaga musical drought in the last few years. After dropping her last solo album Chromatica in 2020, she released “Hold My Hand” from Top Gun: Maverick in 2022 and joined the Rolling Stones for “Sweet Sounds of Heaven” last year. She’s also set to star in Joker: Folie à Deux in October.
